This year marks Barbra Streisand and James Brolin’s 25-year wedding anniversary. The pair has shared candid details about their relationship and what it was like to fall in love later in life with the media.

Like many love stories, the beginning of Barbra Streisand and James Brolins’s begins with a blind date. Brolin was unaware that she had a completely different picture of what he would look like, even though the two were matched up on a blind date.
The singer observed that Brolin was bald, but she had assumed she was seeing a man with a full head of hair and a beard.
Being a notoriously honest person, Streisand was unable to hold back and told her date, quite bluntly, that his hair was messy. Brolin was won over by her instead than offended, and he now feels that Streisand is the one for him.
In contrast to Brolin, Streisand needed a few more dates to be certain that she felt something for the actor. However, the couple fell deeply in love very quickly and married in 1998.
Neither of them was married for the first time before. From 1961 until 1973, Streisand was wed to Elliot Gould, with whom she had a son named Jason. Brolin, however, had already made two trips down the altar. After working for twenty years with casting agent Jane Agee, I spent nearly ten years with Jane Smithers.
Josh, Jess, and Molly Brolin are Brolin’s three children from his previous marriages. In addition, he is the grandfather of Eden, Trevor, Westlyn, and Chapel.
Brolin has a deep love for his spouse. He once remarked, “Every night is a new adventure,” and that he could not imagine living without anyone else. Time is wasted sleeping. I’m eager to see her once more in the morning.
This summer, the couple celebrated 25 years of marriage and revealed a carefully guarded secret. During their appearance with CBS Mornings’ Gayle King, the pair revealed something that was not well known. He’d been celibate for three years before he met Streisand.
“I had been — this is going to sound really strange — celibate for three years, thinking, ‘Who needs this?’” In the King interview, Brolin revealed.
He was chastised gently by Streisand, who said, “You’re not supposed to tell that.”
King repeated, “For three years?” in shock.
“I had not had any interest in getting involved in a lousy situation,” was Brolin’s response to this.
“That must have been one hell of a night after three years,” King enquired, and Brolin responded, “Wild!” after confirming this.
His two disastrous marriages were the reason he had not wanted to be personal with anyone. He didn’t see the purpose of getting involved in another unsatisfactory relationship.
However, his perspective shifted and he realized he had to wed Barbra when a buddy persuaded him to see her. However, Streisand needed more persuasion before agreeing, and that was after he had asked her a third time.
