Vanilla Ice Bought a 1955 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible from an NFL star – but he claims he’ll never drive it.
It previously belonged to Superbowl-winning coach, Dick Vermeil.
It boasts iconic 1950s styling, but with a rocket-inspired design.
He plans to never take it out on the road to preserve its condition.

The rocket-inspired design is the epitome of post-war automotive style – from its hidden gas tank to its dual exhaust integrated into the rear bumper.
Under the hood, it’s powered by a 5.4L V8 engine delivering around 250HP per the rapper’s YouTube channel.
This is paired with a Hydra-Matic automatic transmission.
You could say that it’s…greased lightning. Sorry.
All of this made the flagship model a smooth ride across the highways of America.
Cutting-edge tech for the time included power windows and seats, premium leather upholstery, and optional air conditioning.
It joins an impressive fleet and is currently parked next to a zero-mile 2003 Rolls-Royce Phantom VII and a restored 1989 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 from his ‘Ice Ice Baby’ video.
In fact, this isn’t the first car with a celebrity history he’s acquired – he also bought 50 Cent’s Lamborghini and said he forgot something in the car.
Vanilla Ice – real name Robert van Winkle – knows that more miles mean lower resale value.
He says he will never drive the Caddy and it will sit with the special models in his collection.
“No, I am not going to drive it,” he said – clearly worried about putting a single ding on that paint job.
Vanilla Ice views his cars as collectibles and avoids driving them to maintain their pristine condition, prioritizing historical and aesthetic value over practicality.
It’s former NFL owner
Dick Vermeil is a legendary former NFL coach and car enthusiast.
He previously showcased the Cadillac in Pasadena’s Rose Parade – it’s the same model as this 1960 Cadillac Series 62 convertible one man sold to buy his house before rebuying it with his son years later.
“There were three things my family was passionate about: Sprint Cars, football, and wine,” the retired Super Bowl XXXIV winner told the Philadelphia Concours d’Elegance.
That’s not a bad place to have your priorities, provided you don’t combine them.

Kim Kardashian has shared photos of a rather bizarre shoot with Tesla’s Optimus robot and a Cybercab.
The reality star is known for enjoying a photoshoot, but this one is something else.
The SKIMS founder shared the moody photoshoot to her Instagram in which she posed alongside the humanoid bot and a gold Tesla Cybercab robotaxi prototype.
It was apparent that the 44-year-old was enjoying her robot companion.

Kim Kardashian and a Tesla Optimus Robot – the pairing we didn’t know we needed?
Whilst she struck poses, the humanoid robot was sat inside the car with one leg hanging out.
In another photo, Kardashian was seen holding hands with the Optimus Robot.
As if that wasn’t cozy enough, she was pictured sat in the cyborg’s lap in another snap.
It’s a big step up from her initial content showing off the bot, in which she was merely waving to it.
Inevitably, fans began joking that the robot was the latest man in the media personality’s life.
One follower remarked: “Finally found the man of her dreams.”
Another joked: “So your soulmate is a robot.”
This sentiment was echoed by another commenter who wrote: “I hope he treats you right.”
Tesla’s official Instagram even got in on the fun when it commented: “Optimus asked if you’re still on for dinner this Friday.”
Kardashian has never been one to hide her romances.
She’s previously been married to Kris Humphries and later Kanye West.
She has also previously dated comedian Pete Davidson.
What other tech has she been posting about?
One video clip showed the Cybercab in action, as Kardashian pretended to ‘hail’ it.
In a clip shared to X, formerly known as Twitter, she remarked: “Okay guys, my ride is here.”
“Oh my God, look at these rims!” she said.
As the car pulled up, you could see the Optimus Robot sat in the front seat.
From behind the camera, the mother of four joked: “Hi sir.”
“How are you? Just kidding.”
Tesla claims the robots will not just be for the super wealthy but soon will be affordable for the average person.
However, with Elon Musk confirming the second generation would cost $30,000, we’re not sure that will be household staple anytime soon.
That being said, it is a pretty handy thing to have around the house.
If you want your chores done and some entertainment, the Optimus Robot is clearly the way to go.

Restorer opens up his shipping container after years to show ‘million-dollar find’ iconic car rotting inside

This restorer showed a ‘million-dollar find’ on his YouTube channel, and it turned out to be his own classic muscle car – an AC Cobra kit car – that had been sat rotting for years.
He had parked it in a shipping container for storage because he didn’t drive it as much as he wanted to.
Despite that, he also never sold it because of the emotional attachment he had to it.
However, he finally made up his mind and went to ‘collect’ the Cobra so he could put up a listing.

Man revisits his ‘million-dollar-find’ AC Cobra
This restorer from DD Speed Shop — which is a workshop in Canada — posted a video on his YouTube channel.
He was there with his partner to collect the car so he could put it up for sale.
The video showed him talking about his love-hate relationship with the AC Cobra.
The AC Cobra was — and still is — an iconic muscle car.
However, it isn’t exactly fit for being a daily driver, especially when compared to something like Mark Zuckerberg’s Cadillac.
Although this example was an all-custom kit car with a 302 big block engine, it didn’t necessarily check all the ‘convenience’ criteria boxes.
An iconic muscle car
It was slightly underpowered, unlike newer Cobra models that can destroy modern Mustang GT and Dodge Viper cars in drag races.
That doesn’t mean it isn’t capable — the host mentioned that it sends out ‘somewhere above 400 horsepower.’
After all, the AC Cobra — or the Shelby Cobra, which is what it’s called in the US — was dubbed the ‘scariest’ muscle car ever.
Regardless, he tried to sell it once a year for the last few years but always ended up changing his mind on the drive back home.
He finally got around to washing it, taking a test drive, and putting it up for sale.
The sole reason behind his decision was that he wasn’t doing justice to this ‘million-dollar-find.’
Now, at least the muscle car has a chance to shine brightly again.
Well, if he doesn’t have another change of heart, that is.

A YouTuber bought a rare 1957 Chevy limousine from Facebook Marketplace for a lucrative business venture.
Cleetus McFarland is known for restoring old cars into awesome new projects.
However, flipping cars is not always profitable, so he decided to try out his luck with luxury transportation.
And that’s where this Chevrolet Bel Air limousine comes into play.

YouTuber buys rare 1957 Chevy limousine
After finding the ad for the 1957 Chevy limousine on Facebook Marketplace, McFarland and his business partner went to check out the car.
They were greeted by the owner Mark, who built the car and 25 others like it.
For context, the limo is based on a Chevrolet Bel Air, which is a normal car.
Limos based on otherwise ordinary cars are relatively common, such as this stretched version of the Lincoln Town Car, which has been abandoned in Philadelphia.
According to the owner, the 1957 Chevy limousine was 140 inches (356cm) long.
It also came with all the original parts, but McFarland would have to assemble it himself once he gets the limo back to his garage.
Buying the vehicle for a limo service
The YouTuber was understandably excited by the idea of restoring the Chevy limousine and starting a transportation company with it, but it definitely represents a gamble.
The original ad priced the vehicle at $10,000 but after a hard negotiation, they were able to bring it down to $9,900.
That’s not an insignificant outlay for something that might not make any money back.
At least they tried their best to get the price down.
Hopefully, they can make a break into the transportation industry, starting with this limo.
Weird cars like these pop up online quite often.
Just recently, we spotted a similar yet over-the-top Dodge Challenger limo with gullwing doors.
Surprisingly, it’s not just normal cars that are being made into limos.
We have also seen a $3.8m limo-jet hybrid for sale at a regular dealership.

Legendary Hollywood star Danny DeVito was a loyal Cadillac guy for years before making the switch to electric.
The self-confessed ‘car guy’ – who turned 80 earlier this week – drove a Cadillac for almost two decades, before making the change to an EV.
DeVito has heaped praise on electric cars in the past, revealing that he ‘absolutely loves’ his Nissan Leaf.
Before deciding to go all-electric, DeVito dipped his toe with a hybrid Toyota Prius, but before that, he was a big-time Caddy fan.

Danny DeVito admits to being a ‘huge car guy’
Plenty of celebrities like to splash their cash on huge car collections, like Shaquille O’Neal, who recently admitted that he ‘doesn’t even know why’ he has so many vehicles, or Lewis Hamilton who has around $16.5m worth of supercars parked up in his garage.
However, some celebrities buck the trend and often leave fans surprised with their humble car choices.
One such star is Danny DeVito who admits to being a ‘huge car guy’, but chose to drive a Nissan Leaf.
“I’m a big car guy. Huuuuuuuge car guy,” he told Thrillist in 2014.
DeVito revealed he even dabbled in car customization when he was younger – cutting up ‘any car that he could get his hands on’.
In later life, DeVito developed a particular fondness for Cadillacs before he got behind the wheel of an EV.
“What year was it, Jesus I can barely remember — when did Clinton get inaugurated? What was that, ’92, ’93? Whatever, that was the last time I bought a Caddy, I think it was an El Dorado, which I drove for almost two decades. Great car,” he told the publication.
He ditched his Cadillac for an all-electric
When pressed on what car had managed to tempt him away from his beloved Cadillacs, DeVito said he hadn’t visited a gas station in ‘three years’ thanks to his Nissan Leaf.
Praising his ‘affordable all-electric car for the people’, DeVito said he ‘absolutely loves’ it.
“It’s fast, it’s safe, and really fun to drive. I can’t wait ’till they figure out solar to power all of these things — that’s the future.”
That isn’t the only time he’s professed love for his Leaf – in an interview with Forbes back in 2013, he branded it a ‘fantastic car from Nissan’.
More than a decade from today – when EVs are rising in popularity across the US – DeVito expressed his desire for an affordable American-made EV.
“I wish we had an all-electric car in the United States, besides the Tesla,” he said.
“I know you can [buy one], but it’s a very expensive car. When that comes down to $25,000 or $26,000, maybe I’ll think about it.”
Your move, Musk.

Jay Leno has been given the chance to drive a rare 1965 Ford Mustang almost 60 years after being a passenger in the same car.
The first-generation 1965 Ford Mustang was officially launched at the 1964 World’s Fair in New York.
At the time, it was one of the biggest car launches ever, with Ford enlisting the help of Walt Disney to create the Magic Skyway ride.
The ride featured more than 100 real Ford cars, including 25 then-brand-new Mustangs, that visitors would sit inside while they went through through an almost half-mile, twelve-minute ride that depicted ‘millions of years of life on Earth.’

Jay Leno was just a kid when he rode in the Ford Mustang
Ford estimated that around 15 million attendees took the ride – amongst them, a young Leno who visited the World’s Fair with his dad.
And it appears that the ride in the Mustang had a lasting impression on the TV personality who is now a fully-fledged car fanatic – with a collection of almost 300 cars – and host of the Emmy-winning Jay Leno’s Garage.
On a recent episode of the hit show, Leno was joined by Ted Ryan, the Archive and Heritage Brand Manager for Ford Motor Company.
Ryan brought along one of the original 1965 Ford Mustangs that was used in the Magic Skyway ride.
Leno believed it could have been the exact same vehicle
The car had a clean all-white exterior with a bright red leather interior – and was noticeably missing side mirrors as those were deemed as optional extras on the original Mustang.
Leno recalled that the car he got into as a kid was white, and asked Ryan if all the cars used on the ride had been white, which turned out not to be the case – leading Leno to believe that the Mustang was likely the exact same one he’d been in as a kid. Pretty cool, right?
Almost 60 years since he sat in the Mustang as an excited kid, Leno was given the chance to get in the driving seat.
And it’s fair to say he was pretty delighted about the whole situation.
“Suddenly, it is 1964,” he said from behind the wheel.
A real trip down memory lane.

If you watched the fight between Mike Tyson versus Jake Paul at the weekend, you will most likely have seen the bizarre-looking customized 1992 Chevy 3500 Dually Paul used to make his entrance.
According to Netflix, around 60 million households tuned in to watch the eagerly anticipated bout.
Knowing that all eyes were on him, YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul made sure to grab everyone’s attention as he headed into the ring.
Or, as commentator Mauro Ranallo put it, ‘Jake Paul knows how to make an entrance’.

Jake Paul made a dramatic entrance for his fight against Mike Tyson
Within seconds of Paul rolling out in the truck – sitting alongside brother Logan – social media was flooded with comments and posts about the one-off vehicle known as Krew Kut.
It turns out, the green-colored custom truck actually has its own interesting backstory.
A legendary show car back in the 1990s, poor old Krew Kut fell into a state of disrepair and was left gathering dust in a storage facility.
Thankfully, the Chevy came to the attention of Richard Rawlings from Gas Monkey Garage – who you may remember as the genius team behind this modified Ferrari Testarossa 6X6.
Krew Kut has had an interesting life
Rawlings wasted no time in snapping up the unique vehicle, despite not fully knowing what he’d got his hands on.
“I got a call about this ‘92 Chevy C3500 known as the ’Krew Kut’, good thing the Monkeys knew what it was because I sure as hell thought it was just a dusty, dirty old truck,” he explained in an episode of Fast N’ Loud.
Now THAT is an entrance @JakePaul rolling up in ‘Krew Kut’!

“Turns out it’s this legendary, long-lost magazine truck from the 1990s so we got it back to the garage and I gave the Monkeys three weeks to bring it back to life.”
The team ripped out the Chevy’s original 454 and replaced it with a Katech 496 LS capable of producing more than 600 horsepower.
They also gave the interiors an overhaul, replacing the somewhat garish purple, blue, and white with much smarter-looking all-black leather upholstery, carpets, and dash.
As well as being a true piece of automotive history, Krew Kut’s unexpected appearance at one of the most-watched boxing matches in the history now cements its place in sporting history.

Lewis Hamilton has made a candid confession about his $16.5 million supercar collection.
Hamilton’s car collection is as impressive as his career resume, which includes a record 105 grand prix wins.
Among his haul is a Ferrari LaFerrari, 599 SA Aperta and a 1966 Shelby Cobra 427.
And he most recently added a $2.72 million Mercedes Project One.
DISCOVER SBX CARS: The global premium car auction platform powered by Supercar Blondie
What did Lewis Hamilton say about his supercar collection?
Despite his enviable collection, Hamilton admits that he’s lost interest in adding to it.
Hamilton hasn’t added any new cars to his $16.5 million collection since the Project One.
Given that he has a net worth of approximately $285 million, he’s clearly not lacking in the funds department.
So what exactly is holding him back?
Hamilton admitted he wasn’t overly impressed by modern cars.
As reported by PlanetF1.com, the racing champion said: “Of course, I’m always looking at cars at home and see what would come out.
“But honestly, most of the cars today, they’re just all looking the same. There’s something missing.
“The old classics are the ones I would look at. If I was ever to go and buy another car, most likely it’s going to be an old classic, for the sound, for the emotion.
“There’s not a lot of brands today that are encapsulating that emotion. It’s not the same.”
He admitted that his money is going towards a different type of investment these days.
“I’m more into art nowadays,” he said.
“So that’s the sort of thing that I would indulge in, is discovering new artists, and particularly like black artists that are coming out of Africa, for example. So that’s what I generally would buy.”
Time and time again, paintings have proven to be a good investment.
Just take a look at the iconic Marilyn Monroe painting which sold for an astonishing $195 million.
Taking a look inside the spending history of a F1 champion
Beyond his eye watering collection of wheels, Hamilton has indulged in other avenues over the years.
One area of particular interest has been fashion and watches.
That would be two Patek Philippe Nautilus watches, one in black and the other in white.
They cost $263,000 and $285,000 respectively.
He also has a Sunseeker boat which cost him $3.9 million and was previously the proud owner of a $20.9 million Bombardier Challenger 605 private jet.
And on top of all that, he has a property portfolio worth more than $78 million, with houses in London, Geneva, New York and Colorado.
His $40 million Monaco penthouse may be the cherry on top, in our humble opinion.
It pays nicely to be a champion, but it turns out a car has to be really special to make it into this particular $16.5 million collection.

Sir Rod Stewart is a bonafide music legend and has even won a Grammy, but that’s not his most prized possession – that title belongs to his supercar collection.
However, the singer may soon have to sell most of his cars due to a strange situation outside his $5.8 million mansion.
During his 60-year career, the singer has won many awards but – in his eyes – his greatest achievement is his multi-million dollar car collection.
Naturally, it is quite a sad situation when an automotive enthusiast has to part ways with his cars.

Rod Stewart might have to sell his supercar collection
Stewart has always been a fan of sports cars and also owns several Lamborghini and Ferrari cars.
He is one of a number of celebrities who have a jaw-dropping car collection that only true enthusiasts are willing to invest time and money into.
However, in a cruel twist of fate, he recently admitted that he may have to part ways with some of his supercars.
Unfortunately, his $5.8 million mansion is plagued with potholes that make it hard to drive them out.
“I am extremely fortunate and eternally grateful to be the owner of these five beautiful hybrid sports cars. Which, in my opinion, are true ‘works of art,’” he wrote on Instagram.
“Unfortunately, because of the potholes on our roads, I may have to find new owners for them,” he added.
Selling his beloved car collection
According to Sir Rod, he has been driving ‘iconic Italian cars since the seventies.’
Now, he may have to sell most of his supercar collection due to the condition of the roads near his house.
This might not have happened if had a Tesla Cybertruck, which is slowly making its way into every celebrity’s car collection.
This is after the fact that in 2022, Stewart had taken it upon himself to fix the potholes since ‘no one can be bothered to do it’.
However, his latest post suggests he is once again unhappy with the condition of the roads near his mansion.
We’ll have to wait and see whether he takes matter into his own hands again, or whether he decides to opt for a more robust and – tragically – sensible car choice.
That wouldn’t be very on-brand for Sir Rod, though.
