When Shaquille O’Neal uploaded a picture of himself in a hospital bed, his supporters became worried.
The massive seven-foot-one-inch Newark native, who is inducted into the Hall of Fame after winning four NBA titles in his career, was spotted hooked up to machinery. Naturally, people began to question what was wrong. “I’m always watching @TurnerSportsEJ and @Candace_Parker miss y’all,” O’Neal commented under the shot, sparking a flurry of responses.
Then, O’Neal took the decision to disclose the true cause of his hospital stay. However, he did it in his own unique style, making many laugh by joking that he was receiving “Brazilian butt lift” treatment.
He wrote on March 20 on Instagram, “To all the people who are concerned: Let me start off by saying thank you.” Lastly, I’m doing OK. I needed to complete some BBL work, also known as #hipreplacement. However, I am okay; don’t worry.
As was to be expected, this made a lot of people laugh. One of his supporters remarked, “Lol, sending well wishes for a speedy and healthy recovery.” One person called the NBA player “Cheekquille O’Neal” in the meanwhile.
After being confronted about his appearance by a close friend, O’Neal was able to shed a considerable amount of weight.
He is regarded as one of the best athletes of all time due to his stellar career.
The NBA on TNT host was “on the mend” after undergoing hip surgery, according to TMZ Sports.
